Hi Duc Vo,

In the meantime, you should work on product research or work on optimizing your listing copy and images. Also, you do not need to register your brand right away to sell on Amazon.

Thank you for the video and the article. They greatly help.
I am Duc Vo, and I am a newbie in this Amazon FBA Private Label. I have a few questions that I would like to ask you for help:
First, I just finished Identification Verification Process on seller central amazon. I am waiting for the postal to be mailed so that I can completely finish signing up. Could you please tell me what I should do in the meantime?
Secondly, I do not know where to register my brand because I do not have much money. The range I can afford for my first sale is from $300 – $500. Additionally, I do not know if I have to pay for my brand registration. Could you please walk me through this step?
Thank you and have a great day.

Regards,
Duc Vo

Hi Chao,

That is because certain keywords are much more competitive than others. Outdoor furniture is a very broad term while wicker chair is much more specific.

My question is when you search using a specific term like “wicker chair”, the opportunity score you get is 6.

But when you use a more general term like “outdoor furniture”, your score goes down to 3.

Is “wicker chair” still a good item to sell? (This is just an example, the scores are actually not like that)

Hey Paul,

Great question!

You can do as-is, but in my experience, if you’re creating products which you can improve upon you’ll have an “edge” over your competitors which could lead to more sales and better reviews.

Is your main focus on products you can improve or can this also be applied to a product ‘As-Is’?

Hi Sieg,

I’m not sure I understand your meaning on both of these questions. Could you elaborate?

Thanks!

(like in your example of stroller). Thanks
