Hi Kim,

If you sell audiobooks using Audible, the file will be automatically delivered to the customer once they purchase.

Hi Gary,

If you have the time, I think it is great to clean off the books before shipping. I don’t think it is completely necessary unless the book needs obvious cleaning.

I used to sell used books on Amazon about 12 years ago. I’m now considering getting back into selling used books again, only this time using Fulfillment by Amazon. One of the things I did was clean the covers of the hardback books and make sure I erased any pencil marks from inside pages. I also refrained from buying any books that smelled like cigarette smoke or were musty. I haven’t seen anyone mention these precautions as important before sending books off to Amazon warehouses. What are your thoughts about cleaning books prior to shipping?

Hi George,

Yes, you can sell them on KDP by uploading your books to the platform. Once someone buys, Amazon will send them an ebook or print a physical copy of your book.

Hi Jeff,

You can scan the barcode with the Amazon Seller app and list the book that way. It’s not automatically listed, you need to enter some information but it is very easy. You don’t need a new barcode for an existing product/book.

Hey Brian I’m just starting to sell used books on FBM. When I list the book on Amazon do I just scan the barcode on the back and it’s just automatically listed or do I need to make a new barcode? Thanks for the info
