Hi Robert, It is best to play by Amazon’s rules.

Though, if it is such a slight change, you may be okay with changing the images to the new gloves. But make sure ALL old inventory is removed before the listing is live.

I want to change the appearance of my product. Just the appearance. For example, these are gloves, with the brand shown in fairly large letters. I want to remove that branding from the gloves.

Amazon does not allow substantial changes on an old ASIN. They want us to start from SCRATCH with a new ASIN. For example, if a bluetooth speaker came with a remote that had 3 buttons, and now it will have 2 buttons, they want a new ASIN.

By reviewers, I mean the A+ validation team members.

Thanks for the questions! I am not sure what you mean by “Amazon tries to force us to create a new listing and ASIN.” Amazon does not want duplicate listings on the marketplace so that is not true. You should update your current listing. Are you selling the same product or a different product?

I would edit the A+ page before the new stock arrives so it is ready once you are in stock again. Again, not sure what you mean by the last question.

I have had A+ content up for a couple of years, but now I want to change the appearance of my product. I realize AZ tries to force us to create a new Listing and ASIN, but I want to proceed in spite of the risk.

Do you have any thoughts about whether I should edit the A+ content at the last minute before selling out of old stock, or wait until the new stock arrives? Do the reviewers check images against the stock in the warehouse ??
