Can Amazon know if I produce products for other sales channels or other geographical markets without transpatency codes? and what their action will be if they know?

In reply to Jackie Rieck. Hi Jackie, In this case, the other resellers would need to either sell through all of their inventory or remove inventory from the fulfillment centers. I believe Amazon provides a grace period when enrolling in Transparency to ensure all non-compliant inventory is gone.

Very helpful information – thank you! What is the best way to manage existing inventory in Amazon warehouses when transitioning to Amazon Transparency? We are experiencing counterfeit and want to enroll in Transparency but our resellers have a significant amount of inventory in their warehouses and in Amazon’s warehouses. We don’t want to simply sell through inventory in Amazon’s warehouse due to counterfeit product being mixed in.

Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated!

In reply to Vipul. Hi Vipul, The owner of the brand is the only one who can apply for the Transparency program. You will not be able to get Transparency codes for Puma. Though it is not a requirement to sell products on Amazon. Puma is a large brand so you'll likely need to be approved before you can sell that brand on Amazon.

We are brand representative of international brands selling in India. Can the transparency code be country specific, so that it does not impact the global business?

Hi Aditya,

That is a good question, I’m not sure and couldn’t find any info on it. I would assume yes they would re-scan the item when it is returned because if it is in good enough condition, it would be returned to your inventory.

Do Amazon also scan the Transperancy code when customer returns the product? Is this method good to stop frauds done by customers sending fake products in return by keeping original product.
